No, I don't often hang out with clones or with the Dalai Lama. Mostly, to paraphrase His Holiness,
"I am just a simple liver pathologist" and a member of the Department of Pathology and Dept of Medicine
(Division of Digestive Diseases), of Beth Israel Medical Center of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in
New York City. But sometimes things lead to unexpected places

Everything in this website – from histopathologic studies to stem cells to cell plasticity to biological implications of complexity theory to metaphysical speculations to integrative medicine – derives from observing liver biopsy specimens with what in Zen practice is often referred to as beginner’s mind and from sharing these and subsequent observations with creative individuals from diverse disciplines.

I hope that if you come to this website with one particular interest that you might dabble in a bit of beginner’s mind practice by wandering around on some pages you were not expecting to encounter.

Enjoy!
